Individuals and communities of ethnic and religious minorities, immigrants, women, and LGBT people – and institutions - labor unions; community, civic, and political organizations; and churches have the right to defend themselves, by any means necessary. In light of the rapid rise of the 'white nationalist' extreme right (with tacit encouragement from the Trump administration) this issue has immediate relevance.
